Our Mission

To improve safety and heart education throughout Central Washington by teaching members of our community to be prepared to save a life and to take that knowledge with them to share with family and friends.

According to the American Heart Association (AHA):

  • There are over 265,000 EMS-treated, cardiac arrests annually in the United States.
  • As many as 138,000 coronary heart disease deaths occur within one hour of symptoms beginning.
  • Over 80% of heart attacks occurring in the home.
  • Yakima County has a 46% higher death rate from heart attack than the Washington State average.

Do you know what to do if someone near you has a heart attack?
